Mihai Tarus

1948 born in the village of Sineshti, Ungheni, Moldova. 1968 graduated from the school of art, Kishinau, professor Vasile Toma. 1971 makes the acquaintance of the Leningrad painter Vladimir Vasilievich Sterligov (1904 - 1973), the disciple of Kazemir Malevich and the founder of a new plastic system in painting based on the spherical curve. Under the guidance of Sterligiv, M.Tarus was initiated in impressionism, the art of Cezannne, cubism and suprematism, in the theory of color of M.Matiushin. This meeting with V.Sterligiv had a determined role in the artistic education and the orientation of the creative process of the young painter. 1973 contact and dialogues as regards the problems of art with Master M.Grecu had an essential influence on the formation of the artistic personality of M.Tarus. 1975 graduates from the Repin institute, Leningrad, faculty of painting.
